The Toyota Hilux is the seventh generation of the all-wheel drive pickup truck that appeared in the brand’s model range back in 1968. The vehicle is suitable for both commercial and personal use as a workhorse, for example, for fishing, hunting and other purposes that involve driving in difficult conditions that are beyond the power of conventional passenger cars and SUVs.

Toyota Hilux is available in three trim levels: Base, Comfort and Lux. The first two are powered by a 144-horsepower 2.5-litre engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The top-of-the-line Lux is available with both a 2.5-litre engine and a 3-litre unit, which produces 172 hp and 360 Nm of peak torque (available from 1,400 rpm). The transmission for the three-litre engine is a five-speed automatic.

Not only does the type of transmission depend on the engine chosen, but also the ground clearance of the model. With a 2.5-litre engine, it is 212 mm, and with a 3-litre engine, it is 227 mm.
