The Toyota Avalon is a front-wheel-drive “E” class sedan that is designed and manufactured in the United States. The fifth-generation car was first unveiled in January 2018 at the Detroit Auto Show.

With the change in generation, the car also moved to the new GA-K platform (a variation of TNGA), which it shares with its more status-oriented relative, the Lexus ES, as before.

In spite of the fact that it is possible to discern generational continuity in the look of Avalon, its appearance has undergone essential changes. Having kept majestic look, the automobile has received more aggressive squint at the expense of flattened forward optics, and it is possible to understand at once from lateral lines that the sedan has got bigger “pulling iron in a gym, instead of sitting all the time in McDonalds”. The back part with sharp edges now reminds representatives of luxury family from Lexus. Increased dimensions of the car: length (4976 mm), width (1850 mm) with a wheelbase of 2870 mm is almost identical to the Lexus ES. Volume of the trunk at the same time is 420 liters.
