Overall length of the hatch is reduced by 5 mm (3940 mm), but its wheelbase grew by 50 mm (2560 mm). Width increased by the same amount (1745 mm), and height – on the contrary – decreased by 40 mm (1500 mm). If you add pronounced wheel arches, sharp stampings on the body panels and hood (which also grew in length) and sloped back of the front pillars, you get the silhouette of the car, completely justifying the impression of “ready-to-go”. And that, according to the brand, and conceived the image of the European Yaris.

The interior of the model is completely transformed. The driver’s seat is deeper (60 mm) and lower (21 mm), the steering column has an extended range of pitch adjustment. The steering wheel is reduced in diameter. Two-level dashboard looks less massive than in the previous generation. The dashboard is equipped with two wells (in which, however, not scales, but displays are installed) and information display. In the center of the front panel rises an 8-inch touchscreen multimedia system, surrounded by hard buttons. The system itself now supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Special mention goes to the 10-inch projection display (the largest in class when the model was launched) with a customizable display. The trunk, as before, offers 286 liters of free space.
