The Toyota Highlander 2022 was created using the TNGA modular platform without losing the three-and-a-half-liter atmospheric engine that customers are already familiar with. It produces as much as 249 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Staying true to its own standards, the new car contains all-wheel drive and an intelligent system for active redistribution of torque across the axles.

The new car body makes it similar to the Toyota RAV4, plus the crossovers have the same radiator grille and headlights. On the right and left there are LED extended lights.

The price of this model starts from 61 thousand dollars.

Toyota Highlander is an all-wheel drive crossover with a three-row interior layout. The fourth generation (XU70) was presented in April 2019 at the New York Motor Show.

The design changes can be called evolutionary, as the model retains its characteristic profile and proportions. At the same time, each element has been redrawn in the new Toyota corporate style, which is especially noticeable in the taillights, which, like on the Camry, are strongly cut into the stern sides. And this is not surprising, as the new Highlander is built on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA-K) platform, variants of which are also used in the Toyota Camry XV70, Toyota RAV4 XA50, Toyota Avalon XX50 and other models of the Japanese auto giant. The body has become stiffer, the noise insulation is better, the steering is sharper and more responsive, and the maximum size of the standard wheels has been increased from 19 to 20 inches.

In the fourth iteration, the Toyota Highlander grew in length by 76 mm to 4966 mm in cars sold in UK (the length of the American version is 4950 mm). The wheelbase has increased by 60 mm (up to 2850 mm) compared to the outgoing generation model, allowing the third row to be redesigned for three passengers and the total number of seats to be increased to eight. However, the crossovers are delivered to us with seven-seater interiors.
