A slight change in the dimensions of the new Toyota Highlander has significantly increased the space for passengers in the cabin. And access to the third row of seats has become much easier thanks to a new transformation system that allows you to move the second-row seats on the driver’s and passenger’s side in one motion. The second and third row seats can be folded in a 60/40 split. The luggage compartment is also more spacious, having increased by 16 cm compared to the previous generation.

To achieve even greater comfort in the cabin of the new Toyota Highlander, noise insulation has been significantly improved by increasing the area of noise-insulating floor material to 86%, tightening the cabin and reducing engine noise.

The third generation of Toyota Highlander features improved driving characteristics thanks to a dynamic torque-vectoring system, improved suspension and optimised electric power steering. The vehicle uses a MacPherson strut front suspension, double wishbone rear suspension and disc brakes at the front and rear.

The 3.5-litre petrol engine is equipped with a variable-length intake manifold and Dual VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing-Intelligent) to optimise torque and reduce fuel consumption. This revised power unit delivers 249 litres of power at 6200 rpm and 337 N∙m of torque at 4700 rpm. All this ensures powerful acceleration to 100 km/h in 8.7 seconds, with a fuel consumption of 10.6 litres per 100 km in the mixed cycle.

The new Toyota Highlander meets high standards of active and passive safety. The vehicle is equipped with eight airbags in all trim levels.
