Until recently, the Toyota Aygo was a compact car of the hatchback class. But the growing popularity of SUV models has forced manufacturers to redesign it to be the most compact crossover.

The new GA-B platform, on which some Toyota crossovers are developed, was the basis. The new platform led to change of the car’s dimensions. Thus, now the volume of a trunk has increased from 168 liters up to 231. And with folded back seats – 829 liters. Speaking about hatchbacks, they were analogues of Peugeot and Citroen models as they were developed together with French concern PSA.

The new 2023 Toyota Aygo crossover was designed without their help, so it has turned out unique. Technical characteristics do not surprise with special power. Thus, the power plant is an atmospheric gasoline engine of 1.0 liter, with a generated power of 72 horsepower. It will be paired by a manual transmission with 5 speeds. As an option, a variator can be installed. We should expect that the new one will cost a little bit more than 13 thousand dollars, based on the price of its predecessors.
