Toyota Land Cruiser Prado – All-wheel drive SUV. The car is offered in both five- and seven-seater versions. The first generation of Prado was introduced in 1987, when the company decided to gradually transfer the Land Cruiser from the expeditionary class to the premium segment. Prado, on the other hand, had to continue the off-road traditions, which is why it received the same name as the older model, although it is built on the platform of the Toyota Hilux (4Runner) pickup truck.

In USA, the fourth generation Prado is offered, the debut of which took place in 2009. In the new generation, the model has become outwardly similar to the latest Toyota Land Cruiser 200, and in top trims it can claim the title of a luxury car, which at the same time has retained serious off-road capabilities. A premium multimedia system with 14 speakers, several options for a leather interior, three-zone climate control, an all-round view system with four video cameras and other options typical of the luxury segment are available for Prado. An even more premium version of the model is available on the UK market. The Lexus GX, which is the Prado’s twin brother.

The range of engines is opened by a 163-horsepower four-cylinder gasoline engine 2.7 VVT-i. The most powerful unit for the Prado is the 282-horsepower 4.0 Dual VVT-i six-cylinder engine. As an alternative to gasoline units, a three-liter diesel (173 hp and 410 Nm) is offered.
