Toyota Highlander is a large-sized crossover with permanent all-wheel drive. Despite the external similarities with the older Land Cruiser Prado and Land Cruiser 200 SUVs, it uses a lighter platform based on the Camry sedan and Lexus RX. Therefore, the Highlander’s element is more city roads than a serious off-road vehicle. The crossover’s ground clearance is 206 millimetres.

In the initial Comfort configuration, the car is a five-seater, in the top Lux and Premium versions – a seven-seater. In the five-seater version, the car is equipped with 9 airbags, and in the seven-seater version – eleven. In addition, active technologies such as stability control, traction control, emergency braking and ABS ensure safe driving. For safe driving in snow and ice, a special winter transmission mode is provided.
