In November 2017, a front-wheel drive hybrid modification in three equipment levels was added to the C-HR range on the USA market. The Hybrid version is equipped with a power plant based on a 1.8-liter naturally aspirated 2ZR-FXE engine and a stepless variator with electronic control. DVZ develops up to 98 hp. and 142 Nm, and the total power of the system, including the electric motor, reaches 122 liters. This Toyota C-HR takes 11 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. Gasoline consumption in the combined cycle is 4.0 l/100 km.

The restyling version of the Toyota C-HR, in addition to the already mentioned power units, got a new hybrid system based on the 2.0-liter Dynamic Force engine, which develops up to 184 hp. The settings of the suspension and electric power steering have changed, additional noise and vibration absorbing elements have been added, and the new JBL multimedia complex has finally received Apple CarPlay and Android Auto programs.

In Euro NCAP crash tests, the Toyota C-HR crossover of the 2017 model year received the highest rating – five stars. For the protection of the driver and an adult passenger, the C-HR scored 95% of the possible points, for the protection of a child passenger – 77%, for the protection of a pedestrian – 76%, for the operation of safety devices – 78%.

Toyota C-HR is available in Active, Style and Premium configurations. The basic equipment includes:

The Toyota C-HR crossover has been mass-produced at the TMMT (Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkey) plant in Sakarya since November 2016. The production of Toyota Corolla sedan and Toyota Verso compact car has also been established at this enterprise. UK sales of the model started in December 2016.
