The design of the Prado’s main controls are completely revised, although the architecture of the front panel has remained the same: from top to bottom is the multimedia system, controls for the climate control system, all-wheel drive control unit and off-road arsenal. The touch screen is now 8-inch, “climate” has lost “twiddles”, and transmission’s settings are regulated with a puck (instead of former rocking switches). Both niches below are covered with covers. The steering wheel looks more modern because of non-parallel lower spokes.

Engines of Toyota Land Cruiser Prado remain the same: there are two gasoline engines and one diesel engine. The weakest, a 2.7-liter gasoline engine, develops 163 hp and 246 Nm. The naturally aspirated 4-liter V-shaped six delivers 249 hp and 381 Nm of torque. The 2.8 liter turbodiesel develops 177 hp and 450 Nm of torque. The smaller gasoline engine is offered with a 5-speed manual, although a 6-speed manual transmission may be coming from Europe. The other power units will be equipped with a 6-speed automatic.
