The Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid is a C-class hatchback with a rechargeable hybrid powertrain. A version based on the fourth-generation model made its debut in March 2016.

Strangely enough, the Plug-in Hybrid modification is noticeably different from the usual Toyota Prius hybrid. However, the difference is even more significant in the technical part, as the Japanese manufacturer positions its brainchild as the world’s best plug-in hybrid in terms of total range. It can go only 35.4 km on one electric, which is twice as much as the previous generation, but less than the competition, but it is the most efficient in class: in electric mode, the so-called equivalent fuel consumption is less than 2 liters per 100 km of run. As a result, the 42.8-liter tank combined with a fully-charged battery allows a ride of 965 km.
