The Toyota GT 86 hit the market in 2012 and since then the manufacturers have sold over 200,000 units worldwide. Ten years have passed and the company has introduced a new model – Toyota GR 86 2022 (from Toyota Gazoo Racing). The car has a gasoline-powered engine (2.4 liters) that gives 235 “horses” and 184 lb-ft of torque. The engine works in conjunction with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The GR 86 accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds.
The car has a more modern look, unlike its predecessor, which is quite logical. It has been equipped with a new stabilization system, modern onboard systems, improved interior materials, and a 50 percent increase in body torsional rigidity.
The price of the sports car has not yet been announced, but it is assumed that in the U.S. it will cost about 30 thousand dollars.
