The importer reports that nine body colours are now available for the car, and “more refined materials” can be found in the interior. The interior of the Highlander has become more spacious, the plastic on the dashboard has been softened, and the top Premium models have been decorated with a dashboard with decorative wood inserts.

The car boasts keyless entry, push-button engine start, memory seats, heating and ventilation. The updated Toyota Touch 2 navigator has an 8-inch screen and JBL acoustics. The car has grown slightly in size and, according to the importer, “provides better access to the third row of seats”. The cabin is quieter thanks to the increased area of noise-insulating material.

Power plant is available in two versions. The first is an atmospheric petrol V6 engine of 3.5 liters, producing 299 hp and 357 Nm of torque. It implemented a combined fuel injection D-4S, the Dual VVT-i phase change system, as well as a Start/Stop system. It is equipped with 8-speed automatic “Direct Shift”, the drive is either front or all-wheel drive. And there are two versions of full drive available. More simple is realized in a form of muff, capable to transfer up to 50 percent of torque to rear wheels. The advanced Dynamic Torque Vectoring AWD system, besides distributing torque between the axles, has clutches for each of the rear wheels, allowing for more efficient distribution of traction. The Multi-Terrain Select system allows choosing between settings for driving on different surfaces (Mud&Sand or Rock&Dirt).
